The Socks

I was going to post a cartoon but my computer is in the shop YET AGAIN.  I've confiscated my son's computer and don't have access to my photoshop files.

(I actually know what the problem is btw...I need a new video card)

HOWEVER, I'd like to point you in the direction of a short piece written by Anne Hambrock entitled, "Socks".  I love it because I can SO identify with it.  (I'm not sure that last line is grammatically correct but I'm living with the influence of two teenagers)

I am tired of trying to post comment at Anne's blog. After about 8-9 failed attempts, I leave my comment here. Sorry, Anne. I really tried. Blogger is sometimes frustrating that way.

Totally agree with "And they always blame the mother."

A funny incident related to missing socks (Wonder why socks in all countries have the same habit of getting themselves lost?): A friend's family came to visit, and when they were leaving, their 6yr old daughter was putting on her shoe and found one sock missing. We all had seen it a moment before. We turned the house upside down(even the rooms she had never been to) searching for it. Later they called up to say, the lil girl had put on both socks in the same foot. :)

Such is the unruly behaviour of socks.

@ Jean - I'm sooo sorry you have been unable to comment on my site! I've worked with my web guy and we cannot figure out why some people are unable to comment. Margaret Shulock has the same problem. She has dial up - do you also? I ask because I am really trying to track this problem down. I'm going to put an email link up on the site so that I can post comments for people that can't get through.

No, Anne. It is really an issue @ Blogger (at least, in my case). While I was struggling to preview and post the comment, the remaining sites continued to load fast, this one was "Waiting for blogger..."
It happens at my own blog too - when I try to reply to comments my readers have posted. And folks tell me that this is a Universal problem with Blogger - and they recommend wordpress or typepad to me!
